STORY

In 1955, Alejandro Quidorro arrived in the United States at age twenty three, passionate about the culinary arts. Eager to share his love and knowledge of Mexican food and culture with the U.S., Alejandro opened numerous food trucks over the next decade, all around Cleveland. After flourishing for many years, Alejandro decided to open his first franchise restaurant in 1974, Tamale. The restaurant became a big hit in the city, enjoyed by crowds of all ages. Finally, in 1997, Alejandro decided to retire, passing on the business to his son, Miguel. Miguel and his fine crew worked to maintain the restaurant's legacy through their dedicated service to the public. We hope you enjoy your meal!
